About the Artist…
Sarah VanDam graduated from BYU with a BFA in illustration in 2021.
Following graduation, she had a brief stint working for Dowdle Folk Arts (a puzzle company in Lindon, Utah). She has also done work for a number of clients in the magic entertainment industry, including Discover Magic/Magic Explorers, Romano Magic, Trickybiz, Box Jumper Productions, Funky Monkey Magic, and Lucy Darling.
Sarah specializes primarily in digital illustration and watercolor as well as hand-designed type/calligraphy.
Sarah’s second book, My Dad Invented the Smile will be published by The Little Press in fall of 2026.
Outside of art, Sarah enjoys doing MORE creative projects to distract from the “serious ones,” playing flute, composing music, and growing as many plants as possible given current life constraints. She lives in Provo, Utah.
