Religious Art, Maybe?

When I look at this piece now, I cringe a little. After several years, I feel like I mainly see its roughness, although I think I still like the main idea of it. I thought it would be interesting to do a depiction of Lehi’s dream from a vantage point of not being able to see the Tree of Life, but instead be looking face-on at the metaphorical mists of darkness obscuring a traveler’s path. Maybe I could rework this sometime. Beyond this, I have a few ideas of religious images I’d like to paint (mainly from the New Testament—This one is from the Book of Mormon), but for what I have in mind, I’ll probably want to get better at oils…
